Pál Dárdai (born 9 May 1951) is a Hungarian football manager and former player.

Playing career

After playing with Véménd as a youngster, he begin his senior career playing as midfielder with Honvéd Steinmetz. In 1972 he moved to Komlói Bányász where he spent two seasons before joining Pécsi MFC in 1974 playing in the Hungarian Championship.[1] He will play with Pécsi for more than a decade, making 284 league appearances and scoring 67 goals. Afterwords he had a spell with FK Vojvodina in the Yugoslav First League in the 1985–86 season where he joined his compatriot János Borsó.[2] In 1988-89 he had another last spell with Pécsi MFC before retireing.

Coaching career

Pál Dárdai after finishing his playing career became a coach. He managed a number of Hungarian clubs.[3]

Personal life

He is the father of the Hungarian international footballer Pál Dárdai.[4]
